The skills gap in the tech industry is ever expanding, but a recent article from Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) looks at how ARU and Softwerx are addressing the issue with digital apprenticeships.

The tech industry has a need for new blood and skilled people. Microsoft reports that the UK tech industry needs 3 million more skilled people in the next 3 years – a £48 billion opportunity for switched-on businesses.

Softwerx are excited to currently have four degree apprentices at Anglia Ruskin University as well as a number of other apprentices in roles across marketing, cybersecurity and procurement.

Softwerx’s degree apprentices, Faith Akinbo and Phoebe Ward, were also mentioned for a presentation they gave at an Anglia Ruskin conference recently:

“They spoke about the wealth of opportunities and experiences they’ve had since joining cyber security firm Softwerx. They have certainly proved they are trailblazers of our Digital Marketing Degree Apprenticeship in just a few years.”
