In a recent article in CISO Mag it was emphasised that the reality of AI-driven cyber-attacks is not far away. This is likely to include malware with the ability to undertake a sequence of autonomous decisions – enabling it to adapt to particular system parameters and evade detection.
Organizations need to start considering how they can prepare for these circumstances, and deploy their own AI countermeasures to defend from the threat. This may well be emerging as a cyber arms race. More positive outcomes can be achieved by using Cyber AI for early detection and autonomous response.
Ultimately, digital transformation is happening at such a pace that AI, especially in the area of cybersecurity, is being recognized as a ‘must-have’ in enabling companies to stay ahead of unpredictable threats. Cyber AI will be a fundamental part of our defence once hackers are regularly using AI to turbocharge their attacks.
