Cloud grew 18 per cent year-on-year to account for one-third of global IT infrastructure spending in 2014, according to an IDC report detailing a $26.4 billion outlay on cloud in 2014.
Private cloud spending has seen the biggest expansion, with over 20 per cent year-on-year growth to the tune of $10 billion. Public cloud lagged behind slightly, but still totalled $16.5 billion following a 17.5 per cent increase
