This month, we keep up our record of continually releasing new analytic rules and Microsoft Security Workbooks that can add real value to our customers cybersecurity infrastructure. We also give an overview of just how much real financial benefit our cost optimisation reviews included as part of secure365 can deliver to our customers with a real life case study. Here’s the detail: 

• NEW! secure365 Monthly Report Workbook: A new Microsoft Sentinel workbook is now available to secure365 customers, providing a comprehensive monthly view of security operations and risk across your environment. The report combines incident statistics, SOC response performance, threat trends, email threat activity, user sign-in analytics, Microsoft security scores, Defender for Cloud recommendations, and data ingestion visibility in a single executive-level dashboard. Designed for both technical teams and business stakeholders, it provides a clear view of how secure365 is protecting your environment and highlights areas for further improvement.   

• Customer Cost Optimisation Success: Through our continuous platform optimisation activities, we recently identified an opportunity to significantly reduce Microsoft Sentinel costs by moving low-value storage logging data from the Analytics tier to the Auxiliary tier. This change reduced projected monthly costs from approximately £1,122 to £12, generating estimated savings of over £1,100 per month while preserving access to the data for auditing, investigations, and threat hunting purposes. Security monitoring and protection capabilities remain unaffected. Initiatives like this demonstrate how secure365 helps customers achieve the right balance between security effectiveness and cost efficiency.
